I need step by step directions on this, I'm not stupid, however when it comes to computers I learn stuff on a need to know basis....

What I do is go to Yahoo and sign up for a new account. I like to use the name of the business in the ID block. For instance:
XYZcarrepair@Yahoo.com. If XYZcarrepair is already taken, add some numbers to the ID (XYZcarrepair123@yahoo.com.
Yahoo will take you to the next screen and ask your name , address, and all the other stuff. That really is all there is too it. Just answer the questions then Yahoo will send you an email to your alternate email address and you verify that address and you can log into your new email address.
To go further, I have forgotten my ID and password in the past so I now play a trick on my self so I don't forget. The first time I log into my new email address, I add the login page to my favorites. Once it is added, I right click on the favorites listing, go to rename and add my ID and password to the name. Sometimes I reword the whole name so it is easier to remember what it is. I now have 5 yahoo email addresses listed under a folder called Yahoo in my favorites. Each one of the listings has the ID and password included.
Caution: I can do this because I am the only one who has access to my computer. For security's sake, you need to use your own discretion.

They need to put your business address in their address book to prevent those emails from being delivered to their spam folder----unless, of course, they are intentionally clicking the Spam tab ??

I am wanting to use yahoo email for my business. I have changed the way a customer would view an email from me so that it shows my business name in the 'from' field and my business email in the 'reply to' field but this doesn't seem to be working? In the 'from' field it still shows my yahoo email address and when someone hits 'reply to' they can see my yahoo email and under it is my business address for them to reply to? Any help would be great as I want my business to look professional and I have filled in details correctly as far as I can see...thanks

Go to "Options" It is above your email
Click on "Blocked Addresses"
Click on the Address you want to remove block

They will care if your email traffic impacts bandwidth, and then their issue is with the amount of traffic, not the content. Web hosting for your domain also means you get mail with your domain name, which could do well for business.

Apparently? Either you ARE or you are NOT. Which is it? Now, as to what you can DO about unwanted email. You do not say what your email client is, so I can not be specific. So, for some generalities. Every email client I have worked with has the ability to set up a filter for incoming email. Then, there is also a way to deal with email caught by the filter, such as placing the email in a special folder or delete it or whatever. Just set up a filter to catch the emails you do not want, and set the action taken to dump them in the trash. In my case, I have set a filter to catch email with no "@" symbol in the TO: field and automatically dump them in the trash. If there is no address in the TO: field, it is trash as far as I am concerned and I do not have to deal with it. After all, if the email is not addressed to ME in the TO: or CC: fields, it is very likely spam. In your case, there may be something unique you can filter for in the FROM: or REPLY TO: fields or even in the body itself for this specific sender, a domain name or some such.

How do I view my business account using the new yahoo email? Both use to be shown with the classic view?
Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send recieve delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Since you did not write that note you are still at liberty to phone the contact to 'get his or her opinion'. Good luck! remember that if you are winning 1 in 3 of your proposals you are doing very well.

The error messages claim it cannot retrieve email. Yahoo cannot figure out the problem. I have reset both accounts and tried all of the tricks with the pop and smtp recommended settings, work- arounds, etc. When I look for solutions, one thing that comes up is the need for a Plus mail account in order to set up pop on Entourage and Outlook.. Is this true even if I have a business email account (web hosting) for which I am already paying? Anyone out there having a similar problem?

Small Business domain email service is broken?
My Small Business domain email has been failing since Saturday evening (March 8, 2009). It is now Monday, March 10 and is is still broken. All I get from Yahoo! via chat is that ticket 2586336 has been opened on the issue and they are working on it. Does anyone know what is going on?

The guy on chat said that the problem seemed to be with the mail forwarding feature and that they were rolling out the fix already, but he wouldn't specify when the fix would hit my account. What this tells me is that they probably did some upgrades over the weekend, found some conflicts with their mail forwarding feature and are either fixing the problem or rolling back to the earlier software. I've already started getting mail at my domain again, so mine may be fixed. Good luck with yours

I use my email for business and my emails are going into poeple's bulk box. Even when I email to myself. Why?

The only way I can figure out how to do this so that it appears in their email and not as an attachment that the receiver has to open is to save it as a HUGE pdf or jpg file.

Why would my husband send and receive inappropriate email to female he does business with?
My husband does business in Canada and talks about how pretty two women at the office he does business with are. Well, I just found out that he is receiving inappropriate emails from one of them. I was at his office just recently and he stepped out and I saw his email account opened and that he had just opened an email from one of them. The subject of her email was "Feeling Insecure?". I looked at the email and she sent him an email about male penis enhancement and how women judge men who have a large penis. Their website even has a man's before and after naked photos. I am only assuming that he must be sending her the same type of emails as well. Should I confront him?

Why would my husband send and receive inappropriate email to female he does business with?
My husband does business in Canada and talks about how pretty two women at the office he does business with are. Well, I just found out that he is receiving inappropriate emails from one of them. I was at his office just recently and he stepped out and I saw his email account opened and that he had just opened an email from one of them. The subject of her email was "Feeling Insecure?". I looked at the email and she sent him an email about male penis enhancement and how women judge men who have a large penis. Their website even has a man's before and after naked photos. I am only assuming that he must be sending her the same type of emails as well. Should I confront him?

He shouldn't be corresponding with anyone about sexual issues and he surely shouldn't even be telling you how pretty those two women are. SO WHAT...there are pretty women all over the place. I had a regular yahoo address, with messenger that sent an alert when I got mail. I switched to a business account, and my user name isn't the same as my email. I have multiple email addresses set up on the business account, some of which forward to my new address so I get all of my mail in one place. You can open this document using Microsoft Word. If you have Word any of the later versions of the software should be able to open a document created with Word 97.
If you have word then just double click the file icon.
If you don't have Word then download one of the free readers.

You can do a lot of good through them, they don't sell anything, and are just interested in providing homes and assistance for minority women and children of poverty (and any who need assistance). So sounds like you share goals with them. A good place to start. They need all kinds of different skills, and you may make some contacts there, and learn some things, and even help people along the way.

Small bs has given me a URL? email address allowing me to be able to read company emails. Tried the http link which sent me to Yahoo; however, I don't know how to input the user name and password given me by the bs owner. I am able to access the e-mail from another company I perform work for...what's missing?

Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send recieve delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I have been advised to use this site to view my mail, www.mail2web.com if all else fails go back to classic mail via this link. http://us.mg1.mail.yahoo.com/dc/optout?s... click yes when asked do you want to opt out. Hope this helps.

If this always happens and you have never before been able to get attachments using Yahoo mail your browser is out of date. With IE click on Tools then Windows Update.
If it worked earlier and does not work right now there may be a server problem out there. Try again in a few minutes.
