This is a HUGE problem, since anyone trying to send me an email for my business, never gets to me. PLEASE help!

I'm sure your email has preferences someplace. Go there and look for something that states "reply to". In most cases, that option should be empty. If something else is in there, replies wouldn't go to the address you want it to go to. I can't be sure how that option works with your particular email account, but look for something like that, and then read carefully how it works.
The other possibility is, if you have a bulk/spam folder, your replies could be going there. Usually putting senders' addresses in you email's addressbook would solve that problem, but with a business, you wouldn't always know who is going to send you mail. I'd again look in your preference to address that issue. It might be addressed under the "reply to" option as well.
(You posted in the Yahoo! Mail category, but the address you gave wasn't Yahoo, so I didn't give you specific instructions for a Yahoo! Mail account. If it were Yahoo! Mail, you'd click on options, then "General Preferences". The reply to option would be right at the top of that page.)

I would set up a seprate business account that has nothing to do with YQA. If it is your business account do not risk having it deleted because of YQA.

You must have the messenger. If you do, go to and click messenger, scroll to and click Preferences, on the side menu click Alerts %26amp; Sounds. They now delete the draft message when you send from there.

Cut down on unneeded material in messages
Use a mailing list (like coollist.com) to easily send mail to many people
Make sure your spam filters aren't deleting wanted emails.
Add people to your address book that you will contack frequently.
I was wrong by the way, thousands of people have actually taken the time to make websites on this.
The best one I could find is listed in my sources.

I have an LG Dare %26amp; can check my email in about 10 seconds. And I don't need a phone for corporate email or business apps. I find typing on the Dare in landscape much better than the iphone. The two things about the Storm that appeal to me are its high rez screen and compatibility with non-protected itunes files. So do you think it's worth the extra $30.00 mthly for someone who doesn't need the business aspect of the phone?

I'm looking for a software or website that can help me create a document, almost like a survey, that can be emailed out to individuals for them to fill in their information (questions like "How much time can you commit each week" "How much money are looking to earn per month" etc) to help me identify and hold my sales team accountable to the short and long term goals as well as remind them of the commitment they have made. Then after they have filled out the form it would be automatically stored for me and/or emailed to me as well as emailed directly to the individual they are working most closely with.
Ideally this would be a reasonably priced software or a free or low cost service.

Sounds like a website issue. When the client clicks on "Contact me" , they should be contacting both addresses.

I use email to correspond to my team of consultants and clients, so I send out emails to over 50 people per day. It is not spam though. I am asking this question for a friend who has an interview at 10 AM EST tomorrow (Feb 7th).
When HR sent him an email, they mentioned that the attire for the interview is business casual.
This surprised both of us because as per most (if not all) interview help websites, it says to wear a suit.
Please help! Would it be bad to show up in a suit?
I figured dressing down is bad... [as in they expect suit you show up business casual] so dressing up... in this case wearing suit when they mentioned business casual attire is better, right?

Put a coordinating tie with it. Can always show up with the jacket and then remove it. Classy, classy look yet versatile.

I already have a yahoo email account, but how can I open another email address for my husband and our business
I;m trying to print up some business cards and I need some different email addresses. My husband will have his own business cards with his address and the same with me but I don't want to use my primary email address, so I will need a second email address. Can you please help ASAP?

What I do is go to Yahoo and sign up for a new account. I like to use the name of the business in the ID block. For instance:
XYZcarrepair@Yahoo.com. If XYZcarrepair is already taken, add some numbers to the ID (XYZcarrepair123@yahoo.com.
Yahoo will take you to the next screen and ask your name , address, and all the other stuff. That really is all there is too it. Just answer the questions then Yahoo will send you an email to your alternate email address and you verify that address and you can log into your new email address.
To go further, I have forgotten my ID and password in the past so I now play a trick on my self so I don't forget. The first time I log into my new email address, I add the login page to my favorites. Once it is added, I right click on the favorites listing, go to rename and add my ID and password to the name. Sometimes I reword the whole name so it is easier to remember what it is. I now have 5 yahoo email addresses listed under a folder called Yahoo in my favorites. Each one of the listings has the ID and password included.
Caution: I can do this because I am the only one who has access to my computer. For security's sake, you need to use your own discretion.
I know my answer includes more than you asked.

What I do is go to Yahoo and sign up for a new account. I like to use the name of the business in the ID block. For instance:
XYZcarrepair@Yahoo.com. If XYZcarrepair is already taken, add some numbers to the ID (XYZcarrepair123@yahoo.com.
Yahoo will take you to the next screen and ask your name , address, and all the other stuff. That really is all there is too it. Just answer the questions then Yahoo will send you an email to your alternate email address and you verify that address and you can log into your new email address.
To go further, I have forgotten my ID and password in the past so I now play a trick on my self so I don't forget. The first time I log into my new email address, I add the login page to my favorites. Once it is added, I right click on the favorites listing, go to rename and add my ID and password to the name. Sometimes I reword the whole name so it is easier to remember what it is. I now have 5 yahoo email addresses listed under a folder called Yahoo in my favorites. Each one of the listings has the ID and password included.
Caution: I can do this because I am the only one who has access to my computer. For security's sake, you need to use your own discretion.

I am wanting to use yahoo email for my business. I have changed the way a customer would view an email from me so that it shows my business name in the 'from' field and my business email in the 'reply to' field but this doesn't seem to be working? 2 ways to remove the block you can go to your bulk folder and open the email and click "Not Spam"
OR
Go to "Options" It is above your email
Click on "Blocked Addresses"
Click on the Address you want to remove block

Apparently I am receiving email from a single site that I have no business with. I try many times to delete?
Apparently? Either you ARE or you are NOT. Which is it? Now, as to what you can DO about unwanted email. You do not say what your email client is, so I can not be specific. So, for some generalities. Every email client I have worked with has the ability to set up a filter for incoming email. Then, there is also a way to deal with email caught by the filter, such as placing the email in a special folder or delete it or whatever. Just set up a filter to catch the emails you do not want, and set the action taken to dump them in the trash. In my case, I have set a filter to catch email with no "@" symbol in the TO: field and automatically dump them in the trash. If there is no address in the TO: field, it is trash as far as I am concerned and I do not have to deal with it. After all, if the email is not addressed to ME in the TO: or CC: fields, it is very likely spam. In your case, there may be something unique you can filter for in the FROM: or REPLY TO: fields or even in the body itself for this specific sender, a domain name or some such.

How do I view my business account using the new yahoo email? Both use to be shown with the classic view?
Yahoo is still having some problems at the moment. Suggested cures range from Update Adobe Flash Player and Javascript to clear IE7 cache, cookies, and browsing history. Different things seem to work for different people. It's causing attachments to not show, 999 errors where it won't let you do a particular action and some people cannot send recieve delete or move mail. It's not just Vista either it's happening to some of us on XP. I want to set up a seperate email address for my business. How do I do that?
Go to the main page for yahoo, and on the right side, there is a box for email, it says sign in on one side and sign up the other side, just click sign up and just fill out whatever is needed. Hope this helps :o)

b) be persistent and send a follow-up email to get a respose from you?

Very rare is the the business proposal so wonderful that recipients respond 'Yippee'. Assuming that the proposal was requested, the accompanying note should have stated that you will follow up the mail with a telephone call on a certain date, in order to discuss the proposal, and take "matters to the next stage". i.e get an answer 'Yes', 'No' or tell me more..
Since you did not write that note you are still at liberty to phone the contact to 'get his or her opinion'. Good luck! remember that if you are winning 1 in 3 of your proposals you are doing very well.
Reply:I have to say, I usually do not read an e-mail business proposal unless I have met the person already before and know who he/she might be. Have you met this company before?
If so, then I would suggest you to send your proposal via post, preferrably on 1st class or even better registered mail. This is because it is so much more professional when everything is laid out and presented as it should be. The potential employer then can go straight onto reading the plan insteading of spending silly time shuffling papers around.

Reply:It depends on who you are sending it to. If it's someone who's expecting your proposal, follow up to make sure they got it.
If it was unsolicited, then don't bother them aain.
Reply:I would call to see whether they received your email and ask if they're still interested or not. I'd rather get the answers now than waste any more time.
Reply:C. E-mail is not a sure-fire tool. It could have been sent to their junk or bulk folder by mistake. They could have accidentally deleted it. So, I would call and ask whether they had received it. You should be able to tell by that conversation as to whether they are interested or not.
Reply:First thing I'd do is make sure it went to the right person in the company. Most e-mail programs enable you to see when a message is received, so you can check that to make sure the person you sent it to is actually there, and not on holidays.
It sounds retrograde, but sending a business proposal by mail is usually more effective. Letters demand more attention, can't be deleted with the click of a button, and call for a response, even if it's a 'no thank you'.
However, if you are going to continue to do this by e-mail, confirm that the person you are addressing your e-mail to is the one who accepts business proposals, check that they are in the office, and send it again. If you still don't get a response, you can consider that a negative return, and they aren't interested.

I get mailshots, e-mails, faxes and assorted "business proposals" on a daily basis, very few, if any, are worth the time it takes for me to throw in the round file. Without knowing who you are, what you sent and who you sent it too I can only guess....but
If you are Joe Anonymous mailing to Marks %26amp; Spencer then you are hardly likely to get a response; If you are expecting somebody else to invest in your idea you'd need a pretty strong business plan to make anybody take notice. You get the idea...
If you idea is good, then run with it yourself. If it's too good somebody else will run with the idea without you.
Maybe better doing it the other way round, phone up and see if they would like you to submit some proposals...

Assuming that the proposal was requested, the accompanying note should have stated that you will follow up the mail with a telephone call on a certain date, in order to discuss the proposal, and take "matters to the next stage". i.e get an answer 'Yes', 'No' or tell me more..
Since you did not write that note you are still at liberty to phone the contact to 'get his or her opinion'. Good luck! remember that if you are winning 1 in 3 of your proposals you are doing very well.
Reply:I have to say, I usually do not read an e-mail business proposal unless I have met the person already before and know who he/she might be. Have you met this company before?
If so, then I would suggest you to send your proposal via post, preferrably on 1st class or even better registered mail. This is because it is so much more professional when everything is laid out and presented as it should be. The potential employer then can go straight onto reading the plan insteading of spending silly time shuffling papers around.

Reply:C. E-mail is not a sure-fire tool. It could have been sent to their junk or bulk folder by mistake. They could have accidentally deleted it. So, I would call and ask whether they had received it. You should be able to tell by that conversation as to whether they are interested or not.
Reply:First thing I'd do is make sure it went to the right person in the company. Most e-mail programs enable you to see when a message is received, so you can check that to make sure the person you sent it to is actually there, and not on holidays.
It sounds retrograde, but sending a business proposal by mail is usually more effective. Letters demand more attention, can't be deleted with the click of a button, and call for a response, even if it's a 'no thank you'.
However, if you are going to continue to do this by e-mail, confirm that the person you are addressing your e-mail to is the one who accepts business proposals, check that they are in the office, and send it again. If you still don't get a response, you can consider that a negative return, and they aren't interested.

I get mailshots, e-mails, faxes and assorted "business proposals" on a daily basis, very few, if any, are worth the time it takes for me to throw in the round file. Without knowing who you are, what you sent and who you sent it too I can only guess....but
If you are Joe Anonymous mailing to Marks %26amp; Spencer then you are hardly likely to get a response; If you are expecting somebody else to invest in your idea you'd need a pretty strong business plan to make anybody take notice. You get the idea...
If you idea is good, then run with it yourself. If it's too good somebody else will run with the idea without you.
Maybe better doing it the other way round, phone up and see if they would like you to submit some proposals...

(people keep thinking if this is asking a sick person is he is getting well. this is not what I wanna say. I just wanna say something like how are you, how are you doing stuff like that. but maybe more commonly used in business emails)

My yahoo business account email suddenly stopped working on both Entourage and Outlook.?
The error messages claim it cannot retrieve email. Yahoo cannot figure out the problem. I have reset both accounts and tried all of the tricks with the pop and smtp recommended settings, work- arounds, etc. When I look for solutions, one thing that comes up is the need for a Plus mail account in order to set up pop on Entourage and Outlook.. Is this true even if I have a business email account (web hosting) for which I am already paying? Anyone out there having a similar problem?

If one wants to SELL globally and has email address of the prospective corporations chief buyer and also has his/her phone number what approach should u deploy to ensure u get an entry to that company or atleast for ur product or company to be reviewed PHONE or EMAIL first?

The next is personal perks. Anyway I would rather talk to a human that doesnt sound like a cold call than get some email. Emails can work if you send it direct and be very personal so the person actually reads it. Keep them short. In this day of age people all have email ADD.

Small Business domain email service is broken?
My Small Business domain email has been failing since Saturday evening (March 8, 2009). It is now Monday, March 10 and is is still broken. All I get from Yahoo! via chat is that ticket 2586336 has been opened on the issue and they are working on it. Does anyone know what is going on?

My domain email stopped over the weekend also. Same ticket number. The guy on chat said that the problem seemed to be with the mail forwarding feature and that they were rolling out the fix already, but he wouldn't specify when the fix would hit my account. What this tells me is that they probably did some upgrades over the weekend, found some conflicts with their mail forwarding feature and are either fixing the problem or rolling back to the earlier software. I've already started getting mail at my domain again, so mine may be fixed. Good luck with yours
